However big or small, Barry Lewis-Langley has the skills you need to bring your outdoor space to life.
Starting his career at Kew, the Royal Botanical Gardens in West Sussex, Barry Lewis-Langley has been actively involved in botanical arboriculture, tree surgery and the garden industry for over 22 years.
After an impressive career with Kew, Barry went on to establish his own successful tree and landscaping company in West Sussex and the south east, his clients ranging from private estates wanting to rejuvenate their tired, often lost gardens to their original glory to housing associations, land agents and developers; he even advised his local council.
Now, having moved his trade to the West Country, Barry works throughout Cornwall and Devon and his business undertakes every aspect of tree surgery and garden works with the same efficiency and meticulous, high standards that have always made him so successful. Offering a whole array of services that range from submitting planning applications for trees in conservation areas or those with preservation orders, to garden tidies and regular maintenance, Barry carries out full risk assessments prior to every task.
The family-run business will also undertake all aspects of tree surgery, from hedge cutting, light pruning and crown lifting to full reductions and felling. They’ll even do full clearances on property development sites, give advice on pests and diseases and offer the supply and planting of all trees and hedges. Really, it’s more a question of what they don’t do!
A great example of the wonders worked by the garden and landscape side of the business is the garden of Julie and Adrian Elsworth, a professional couple looking to re-establish the beauty of their garden, just a few miles outside of Newquay. Since working with Barry, they’ve managed to regain all the borders and are currently working on creating an Italian courtyard garden surrounded by an osmanthus evergreen hedge. Together, they’re also developing a seating area, hoping to frame it with pleached ornamental pear trees and incorporate a new stone water feature. Barry tells us: “It’s been wonderful working with the Elsworths. We now share a passion for their outside living space and it’s been a real pleasure undertaking the work for them.”
So, like the Elsworths, if you have a plot that’s doing nothing for you, why not get in touch with Barry Langley and put your ideas in his safe, capable hands?
