Head to north Cornwall and discover a world of inspiring Danish homewares that are sure to add something unique to any space.
Jo&Co is a beautiful lifestyle store in north Cornwall that is already making waves among keenly styled customers and fans of interiors with a penchant for clean lines and quality design – and it has only been open for two years! This Scandi-inspired store is located at Hawksfield (a dynamic hotspot for eating, shopping, art and subcultural happenings) on the Atlantic Highway between Padstow and Wadebridge.
The creatively-inspired Hawksfield estate has risen Phoenix-like from a previously disused site which has been transformed into a buzzing destination, featuring an artisan food deli, award-winning café, contemporary art gallery, vintage furniture store, florist and yoga studio. Whiling away an afternoon at this inspiring shopping destination is nothing short of delightful. And at the heart of it all sits Jo&Co Home.
Founder Joanna Eldridge has brought about a carefully curated edit of luxe homewares and lifestyle products all underpinned with a cosy ‘Hygge’ homeliness. Walking around the spacious showroom-style shop you are tempted to imagine it as your own home – perfectly designed and oozing a simple understated style. With quirky kitchenalia, classic womenswear and artisan jewellery sitting comfortably alongside a heavenly library of beautifully illustrated design tomes, we could have spent hours just perusing the pretties on offer and revelling in the relaxed Scandi vibe. A sprinkling of local art, feature lighting and big British brands keeps things fresh and considered. Indeed, the store is the only independent family-run boutique in the southwest specialising in Danish interiors whilst simultaneously showcasing north Cornwall’s raw coastal rusticity via its wealth of artists and makers.
Joanna has two children with her husband Tom Eldridge and has recently added a collection of designer children’s clothes to complement the already popular range of traditional wooden toys and puzzles. Her vision is to ensure that Jo&Co Home is very much a ‘go to’ lifestyle store with a little something for everyone. Jo says: “The shop is one-of-a-kind. There aren’t many places (certainly none in Cornwall) where you can go to find furniture, womenswear, toys and homewares all under one small and independent boutique’s roof! I am so proud of what we’ve achieved and am so excited for the future.” So are we!
