Based in Cornwall and passionate about the world of interior design and homebuilding, Lucy Orr works for clients all over the UK as well as overseas and has almost 20 years’ experience in property renovation and interiors.

“I grew up in a beautiful home in Scotland surrounded by a stunning collection of antiques, art and fabrics from around the world.”

Growing up, Lucy was inspired by her mother, also a talented interior designer and seamstress, as well as her father, who was an avid collector of Scottish and Russian art. She tells us: “I grew up in a beautiful home in Scotland surrounded by a stunning collection of antiques, art and fabrics from around the world. We travelled a lot too, to the States, Europe and the Far East, so my influences stem from far and wide!”

Describing her business, Lucy explains how it provides all you need to build and decorate your home. “I take on all aspects of the design process and personally oversee each project I work on, whether it’s for a new pair of curtains or the project management, interior design and decoration of a new build.”

Impressively, Lucy doesn’t always stick to the same group of suppliers, choosing rather to source fabrics and furniture from varied manufacturers, depending on the brief. What’s more, when it comes to her style, she places a focus on transforming interiors so that they work in harmony with both the style of the building, and that of the clients’ belongings.

“Most of my clients come to me by recommendation. I think what they value most is my work ethos and positive and happy approach to every project. It’s about taking the stress away from the client, as much as it is about delivering a first-class service and making everything look fantastic.”
