JANIS JOPLIN & FRIENDS: THE WOODSTOCK EXPERIENCE

Friday 8th September

Experience the Summer of Love in a celebration of music from the concert that changed the world. Enjoy some of the greatest music from the festival, including Bad Moon Rising, I Want to Take You Higher, America, Summertime, Hey Joe and many more! Performed by singers and musicians from London’s West End, including X Factor fi nalist Melanie Masson.

MACCA THE CONCERT

Saturday 9th September

Starring West End leading man Emanuele Angeletti (Let It Be) as Paul McCartney, this is a celebration of the music of a legend. Macca The Concert celebrates McCartney’s solo career, including all his best-loved hits, and a selection of Beatles’ favourites. Experience the drama of Live and Let Die, the pathos of No More Lonely Nights and the nostalgia of Band on the Run.

THE GRUFFALO

Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th September

Join Mouse on a daring adventure through the deep, dark wood in Tall Stories’ magical, musical adaptation of the classic picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffl er. Searching for hazelnuts, Mouse meets the cunning Fox, the eccentric old Owl and the party mad Snake. Will the story of the terrifying Gruffalo save Mouse from ending up as dinner for these hungry woodland creatures? Songs, laughs and scary fun for children aged three and up and their grown-ups!

ELO AGAIN

Thursday 14th September

Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of ELO’s iconic album Out of the Blue, ELO Again give a dramatic taste of the classic ELO in their heyday. A professional reenactment of an ELO concert with great hits including Mr Blue Sky, Livin’ Thing, Showdown, Telephone Line and many more. With great sound reproduction and visual effects, this is an evening not to be missed!

BOURNEMOUTH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

Friday 15th September

Described in the national press as ‘one of this country’s cultural miracles’, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra returns with French conductor Victor Aviat and British violinist Chloe Hanslip.
The programme includes Mozart’s sparkling Figaro Overture, Brahms’ majestic concerto and Beethoven’s ground-breaking symphony.

Saturday 16th September

All the very best songs from the shows we all know and love, including Les MisОrables, Phantom of The Opera and Miss Saigon! Experience an evening of musical classics brought to you by a West End cast, including the winner of Britain’s Got Talent, Jai McDowall and musical theatre’s favourite, Michael Courtney.

MY MOUNTAIN LIFE: SIMON YATES

Wednesday 20th September

Simon Yates, an accomplished exploratory mountaineer, is an engaging speaker, whoboth entertains and inspires. Best known for his role in the harrowing expedition to the Andes documented in Touching The Void, Simon has been increasingly drawn to places where few others have trod. This illustrated lecture features spectacular images of the most remote and rarely explored mountain ranges of the world.

AQUARELLE GUITAR QUARTET

Thursday 21st September

An evening of music from around the globe, featuring the group’s most popular pieces, including Rimsky-Korsakov’s familiar and exciting Capriccio Espagnol and Cumba-Quin by Carlos Rafael Rivera, where Afro-Cuban rhythms are explored using the guitars as percussion instruments, imitating conga drums, claves, and palitos! The finale is an exhilarating rendition of Tarantella.

YOLANDA BROWN

Saturday 23rd September

Double MOBO award-winning YolanDa Brown is the premier female saxophonist in the UK, known for seamlessly blending jazz, soul and reggae. Fresh off her critically acclaimed Reggae Love Songs tour, YolanDa will perform songs from her new album Love Politics War, a delicious fusion of reggae and jazz melodies.

GREASE

Monday 25th to Saturday 30th September

It’s time to dust off your leather jackets, pull on your bobby-socks and come along to the biggest party in Truro, as Danny and Sandy fall in love all over again. Starring Tom Parker, from the UK’s top boy band The Wanted, Over The Rainbow winner Danielle Hope as Sandy and EastEnders’ and Strictly Come Dancing’s Louisa Lytton as Rizzo! Featuring all the unforgettable songs from the hit movie including You’re The One That I Want, Grease Is The Word, Summer Nights, Hopelessly Devoted To You, Sandy, Greased Lightnin’ and many more. (Note: Louisa Lytton will not appear at either performance on 29th September.)
