Long live colour

Katie, of Truro’s fashion boutique, Bishop Phillpott, shares her top trends for this autumn.

It’s always a tough transition from summer to autumn, with evenings drawing in and the weather becoming more unpredictable, but as Katie from the Bishop Phillpott team tells us, this autumn and winter season is all about adding colour into your wardrobe. The more vibrant the better, and with colour also comes pattern, with beautiful patterns being a huge part of this season’s collections at Bishop Phillpott.

“Marc Cain has long been on our radar for beautiful, quality pieces that will liven up your wardrobe.”

Paul Smith: back and better than ever…

This season has seen a change in Paul Smith’s collections with the mainline catwalk pieces being part of the same collection at Bishop Phillpott. “This means we can bring even more of those super special pieces and fabulous Paul Smith prints to the heart of Cornwall,” says Katie.

“With bold prints and bright and beautiful colours this collection is a real hark back to the good old days of Paul Smith. Some of our favourites include this stunning feather printed shirt, super cute bunny print and pom pom jumper – all of which bring that bit of fun to your winter wardrobe!”

Charlotte Sparre: the celebrity go-to for stunning prints…

“Danish designer Charlotte Sparre has come to be a real favourite with Bishop Phillpott customers and it’s easy to see why.
Her prints, favoured by celebrities the world over, are just beautiful. This season sees Charlotte take us on a trip to a dark and enchanted forest. With striking, unusual prints with a twist on the classic fairytale, beautiful silk shirts to liven up your denim, and gorgeous dresses to pair with tights
and boots.”

Introducing Marc Cain

“Marc Cain has long been on our radar for beautiful, quality pieces that will liven up your wardrobe. So we are so excited to be able to finally bring you this collection, with a fantastic collection of dresses perfect for the upcoming party season and beautiful, elegant knitwear – we are sure you are going to love this collection. Oh and, of course… leopard print!”

And that’s not all; this season also sees the return of Bishop Phillpott favourites Weekend by MaxMara, Bitte Kai Rand, 360 cashmere and Duffy. “There’s something special for everyone,” says Katie, “so roll on boot season!”
