2. ALCHEMY TILES
Light the World

“Don’t you know yet? It is your light that lights the worlds” – Rumi. Using ancient 13th Century inlay techniques, carved not painted, each tile is individually hand carved into wet clay, inlaid, glazed and fired over three days. No tile can be replicated, making each bespoke piece a truly one of a kind, visual presence in your home. Commissions welcome.

3. QUAY ART
Brandy by Tim Cotterill aka The Frogman
This festive frog has a rich silver nitrate red patina with a golden belly and will make a delightful seasonal gift. Tim Cotterill’s collection of bronze frogs, while giving the appearance of having been made from glass, are actually incredibly heavy, having been cast in solid bronze. You’ll find a wide range of Frogman limited edition bronze sculptures in the gallery.

4. The Poly
Glazed ceramics by Nicki Martin
Nicki makes a range of wheel thrown stoneware for everyday use, with hand painted designs using vibrant coloured slips and underglaze colours. Her small vessels are made in porcelain, glazed in greens, turquoises and blues inspired by the delicate Cornish colour palette. Find Nicki’s work in The Guild.

5. The Customs House Gallery
Through the Gap, Porthleven by Joe Armstrong
A wide selection of work by some of Cornwall’s finest artists can be found in this light and airy space on Porthleven’s harbourside. Paintings in a range of mediums hang alongside sculptures, ceramics, jewellery and glass.
6. THE WATERMENS GALLERY
Wet Rocks at Godrevy by Sophi Beharrell
On the waterfront at Falmouth’s Custom House Quay, the gallery was once the studio of Henry Scott Tuke. Today, it’s the working studio of Sophi Beharrell. Visit the gallery to see Sophi’s breathtaking beachscapes, rockpools and cliffscapes. Contact Sophi if you would like to discuss a painting, print or commission.

7. JEREMY SANDERS STUDIO

Close to the Wind by Sarah Blakey
The Craft Kiln (Cornish crafts), Sail Loft Emporium (antiques and collectables) and Cscape Art are part of The Old Workshop, next to the main Charlestown car park. Many originals, prints and cards by artist Sarah Blakey, and photographer Mick Blakey are available.

10. WAVE 7 GALLERY
Fresh October Morning by Mike Moss
Wave 7 Gallery exhibits contemporary art and crafts across two buildings: the main gallery and the granary, which are used to showcase solo exhibitions, such as Mike Moss’s recent ‘Sea’. It’s also the working studio of Victoria Mead Mirrors. Art courses and craft afternoons run throughout the season. The Gallery is open 10.30am to 5pm, Tuesday to Saturday.

11. PENLEE HOUSE GALLERY & MUSEUM
Burnt Out Aeroplane by John Armstrong ARA
John Armstrong was commissioned by the War Artists’ Advisory Committee in 1941 to paint a series of war pictures, including this one of a wrecked Italian bomber in North Africa. ‘Dream & Reality’, an exhibition of over 70 works by this eclectic artist, ends on 18th November. Open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4.30pm (last admission 4.00pm).

Wild Coastline Near Portscatho
