Are you up for an extraordinary adventure in 2023? Join Cornwall Hospice Care on their fully supported and bespoke cycle from Cornwall to Mont-Saint-Michel, France in an entirely unique opportunity to fund your local adult hospice nurses across Cornwall.

The Mont-Saint-Michel Cycle is an incredible cycling challenge and will be the third bespoke overseas cycle for the charity since 2017, as Oli Hoare, Head of Fundraising explains: “We’re so excited to be sharing this extraordinary ride with our community and the response has already been superb. It’ll be a privilege to take 30 cyclists overseas all in the name of a good cause that will achieve so much for our patients and their families. This challenge is for all abilities and anyone who hasn’t been on a bike for a long while, don’t despair, we’ll help you train and be well prepared. You’ll be amazed at how many participants in the past hadn’t been on their bike for years!”

Participants will spend four days in the saddle, cycling 278 miles from Cornwall. The journey will begin on the gorgeous Roseland Heritage Coast and once underway will take the riders via Mount Edgcumbe Hospice in St Austell to Plymouth to catch the overnight ferry. The next morning the journey across France begins with three days of cycling through quiet French country lanes and traditional market towns, all whilst hugging the coastline and enjoying the views of stunning sandy beaches.

On day four, the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mont-Saint-Michel, will grow on the horizon before welcoming the team across the finish line. “The pride, comradery and sense of achievement will make all the days in the saddle worth it as we let our magnificent achievement soak in,”
