Coastal Escapes – Our choice of Cornish getaways

Beautiful stays in Polzeath, Charlestown and Falmouth.

Stepping Stones, Polzeath

Stepping Stones is a beautiful property, epitomising chic coastal living, just minutes from the sand and surf of Polzeath and a gentle stroll away from Daymer Bay along the coast path.

From the moment you arrive, you’ll be struck by the contemporary exterior, fusing wood, glass and slate in stylish clean lines. Stepping inside, a beautiful contrast of wood and leather seating, coastal canvases and colourful cushions creates a modern yet relaxing ambience. The open-plan kitchen and dining area has slate floors, and the statement dining table is perfect for bringing all the family together to plan the day that lies ahead. What’s more, the modern log burner is ideal for warming up after a surf session.

Stepping Stones has six beautifully decorated bedrooms, including a sumptuous master with its own private balcony overlooking the countryside.

A sun terrace spans the front of the house, a sheltered spot to relax and recline on the sun loungers. At the back of the house, a long flowerbed is scattered with beautiful succulents, lavender and grasses.
Luxurious down to the last detail, and with so much to see and do literally on your doorstep, Stepping Stones is the dream base for your next north coast adventure.

Lantern Cottage, Charlestown

New to the Cornish Traditional Cottages family, Lantern Cottage a stylish yet comfortable and inviting mid-terraced, 18th century cottage is an easy stroll from the historic Cornish harbour village of Charlestown.

Set back from the road with an enclosed lawn, making the most of its south easterly position, follow the path to the front where you’ll be welcomed with a traditional layout that’s surprisingly light and airy. Although modernised the owners have been careful to maintain as many of the characteristics of this traditional cottage, retaining its unique charm.

A traditional hallway gives access to the two ground floor rooms, a comfortably furnished sitting room with an open fire and a kitchen/diner with a flagstone floor. Upstairs you will find three attractively furnished bedrooms and a family bathroom.

Charlestown, with its beautiful historic harbour, is one of the primary filming locations for the popular Poldark series. So make sure you make the most of this historic set, which is only a short walk from Lantern Cottage. With the coast path and glorious beaches all within easy reach, this really is the perfect place to escape the everyday and soak up the inimitable south Cornish coastline.
