Cornwall Living 2017

Five best things to do at…

The Seal Sanctuary

The Cornish Seal Sanctuary in Gweek is a fantastic day out for the whole family. Visit this serene Helford River location to meet all the wonderful resident creatures, from pups to penguins.

1. Rescue and rehabilitation

…is at the heart of the Cornish Seal Sanctuary. Visit the Seal Rescue Centre and learn all about the grey seal pups the team nurture back to health during pup season.

2. Come and meet

…the Californian sea lions, Sunny and Andre. They love nothing more than whizzing around the pool together and causing quite a splash! Andre is the noisiest resident and can often be heard before he is seen.

3. Take a walk

…down into the woodland area and meet the resident Asian short-clawed otters, Apricot and Harris. Watch them hunt for their food as part of their daily enrichment and see how they wash their food before eating!

4. Challenge the kids

…to take part in the sanctuary quiz trail where they will learn all sorts of amazing facts about marine life and earn themselves a prize for completing it!

5. Relax at the café

…and enjoy the range of freshly prepared food and drinks whilst soaking up the beautiful view of the Helford River.
