Cornwall Living 2018

Day Trips

For many, a day on the Isles of Scilly is an unmissable part of any holiday to Cornwall. For West Country locals, too, it just wouldn’t feel right to be so close to a whole new world, and never actually make the trip. But here’s the surprising thing: spending time on Scilly needn’t cost any more, nor take any longer, than any other family day trip.

When you return home, which memories will last longer… a day queuing at another visitor attraction, or crossing the Atlantic to an island paradise?

Sail from Penzance, fly from Land’s End or Newquay or book the fly + sail combo

  • Take the family – Time on Scilly needn’t cost any more, nor take any longer, than any other family day out
  • A dog-friendly day -Both Scillonian and Skybus are dog-friendly, so give your best friend the best day ever.
  • Walk the islands – Explore 30 miles of trails on St. Mary’s, or conquer a whole island in a day
  • Britain’s best beaches – Soft, white sand… bright blue sea… the Isles of Scilly are like a tropical paradise you can visit for one day
  • Island hopping – Why limit yourself to just one island? You’ve plenty of time to hop on a boat and explore
  • Visit the Abby Garden – Tresco’s world-famous Abbey Garden has plant species you won’t find anywhere else in the UK

Here at Isles of Scilly Travel, we love our work. But taking passengers for scenic flights over the Cornish coast? That’s truly special. We feel privileged to show people West Cornwall in a way they’ve never seen before… and to watch their reaction as the coastline they love is transformed before their eyes. Perhaps it’s someone who knows the area well, seeing things afresh. Or it’s the high point of a holiday. Often, it’s a birthday or anniversary gift. But always, we’re making memories that last a lifetime.

We’ll give you whole new perspective on the West Cornwall coast- or design your own, custom route

  • STUNNING COASTLINE – Views that’ll leave you speechless, and stay with you long after you’ve touched down
  • WORLD-FAMOUS LANDMARKS – The Minack Theatre, Mousehole, St. Michael’s Mount… as you’ve never seen before
