Designated as one of Cornwall’s areas of outstanding natural beauty due to the quality of the landscape & spectacular coastal scenery with dramatic headlands & quaint harbours, discover secluded coves, sheltered creeks, lush woodlands & rural hamlets dotted around the countryside.

St Mawes is The Roseland’s principal village, with white washed houses & cottages surrounding the picturesque harbour which is a real tourist destination, boats depart daily, weather permitting from Falmouth for day trippers who as approaching the bay can see Henry VIII’s clover leaf shaped, St Mawes Castle which guarded the harbour in the 16th Century.

Currently a popular destination for a wide range of watersports including sailing, kayaking or just generally mucking about on the water, why not hire one of the dingys available from the boatyard, or a motorboat or rib. Charter cruises are also available but you will need to book in advance.

Other picturesque villages around the Roseland include Veryan with its famous roundhouses, the twin villages of Gerrans and Portscatho, and Portloe with its tiny harbour.
