Cornwall Living 2016

Kneehigh Asylum – Kids Shows.

Kids aren’t forgotten in Kneehigh’s theatre tent, The Asylum. On Tuesday afternoons, regular Kneehigh performer Craig Johnson presents his own company –  Squashbox Theatre – and the well-loved puppets that make the line-up for Sea Show.

Morewenna the ‘beautiful’ mermaid  is joined by a cast of mischievous sea squirts, anemones, limpets and pilchards in a fantastic mix of story-telling and comedy cabaret in which Ruan the Recycling Seagull demonstrates that it is possible for a leopard to change his spots… or at least for a Seagull to be reformed!

On Wednesday afternoons, Cornish dance company – who travelled the world with Kneehigh’s Don John – present their latest show If the Shoe Fits. Written by Anna Maria Murphy and Directed by Simon Harvey If the Shoe Fits tells the story of Emily’s visit to Mrs Nicefits Shoe Emporium – and this is no

ordinary shoe shop. Every shoe has a story to tell from speed up time slippers to dancing cowboy boots – not to mention the perilous lace ups… In this delightful interactive dance theatre show, Emily asks her self “which shoes should I choose!?”

Tickets are £4.00 per person and both shows are suitable for ages 4and upwards.
