Capturing the rebuild of The Lizard’s RNLI Lifeboat Station has been a labour of love for local photographer Geoff Squibb as Cornwall Living found out.
Cornishpixels photographer Geoff Squibb was born & educated in The Lizard, so he has a wealth of knowledge about the extensive, rugged & beautiful coastline which has helped enable him to produce a comprehensive body of work.
Since May 2010, Geoff has been documenting the demolition & re-build of The Lizard Lifeboat Station. His inspiration came from wanting to do something that would leave an archive for the public eager to learn about The Lizard Lifeboat Station in the future.
Filled with more than 500 images carefully selected from approximately 6000 taken in total, Geoff’s beautiful photography is now featured in his recently released book ‘Kilcobben’s Rose’.
At home the walls of his living room & study have a selection of his favourite works. Geoff decided to take up photography after a motorcycle accident left him paralysed from the waist down.
Geoff, a Licentiate of The Royal Photographic Society is also trained in Photoshop and multimedia. His work can be presented in most formats.
We have selected some of what we consider to be outstanding examples of the work Geoff has undertaken to date. To view other samples of his images that are available to buy on-line visit his website using the link below & enjoy!
