Cornwall Living 2016

Scilly Flowers.

Churchtown Farm is a small family farm based on St Martin’s, one of the smaller islands that make up the Isles of Scilly, 28 miles west of Land’s End off the Cornish coast. For over 20 years the Julian family have been running a postal flower service from Churchtown Farm, which sends gorgeous, scented island flowers, simply and beautifully packaged,  direct in the 1st class post from Scilly to any doorstep in the UK.

In the winter from October to Easter they grow Scented Narcissi, the traditional flower crop of the Isles of Scilly.  These  flowers are grown outdoors in small sheltered fields where they flourish due to the island’s mild climate. The islands have a well deserved reputation for growing the very best narcissi – multi headed flowers that look like miniature daffodils and have a full, heady scent that will fill your home with the fragrance of spring. During the summer months the farm grows Scented Pinks, an old English flower with a subtle perfume, beautiful colours and long vase life.
