Mevagissey is one of Cornwall’s most magical fishing villages with a big and busy harbour, shops, pubs and a host of  restaurants. you can take boat trips to see basking sharks, dolphins, seals or to do a spot of fishing, or simply enjoy the sandy beaches, cliff and headland walks or pop over to The Lost Gardens of Heligan only 2 miles away. 

This lovely holiday retreat,booked through Helpful Holidays, has gorgeous panoramic views overlooking Mevagissey harbour, is  a large, detached, south-south-west-facing house with Victorian origins. It has been totally re-invented and now has a stunning interior  with absolutely no expense spared. At the back is a huge sun terrace with fabulous views and steps down to a sloping shrub-filled garden and unique courtyard with pond and bronze central fountain, set within the walls of a former stone chapel.

Inside you will find everything is top quality, elegantly simple, with a living room home to a superb custom-made granite wood burning  fireplace, comfy seating for 10, glazed doors to terrace and outstanding views. If you can drag yourself away from the sumptuous living room when the need for something to eat calls, you will find a large fitted kitchen / dining room with central work island, granite worktops, walk-in larder, glazed doors to terrace and lovely green, across-the-valley views. Perfect for cooking up a storm.

Take the stairs up to two large bedrooms, both with TVs  and en suite bathroom (suite with roll-top bath plus hand-shower and separate shower) and great views. Up a few more stairs to another twin with TV, good view and en suite bathroom also with a roll-top bath,

In addition, reached down 16 steps, a garden house with its own terrace and superb views, a galley kitchenette and two bedrooms, makes this a holiday retreat with a difference.
