Dogs Love Cornwall Living2020/21 Autumn/Winter

3 of the best activities with your dog

Activities with your dog during your stay at the Falmouth Hotel.

If you’re planning a trip to Cornwall, it’s nice to know that your dog needn’t ever go to the kennels again! Instead, they’re invited to sample the luxury and relaxed atmosphere of the Falmouth Hotel – staffed by a team that understands how dogs are very much part of the family. Here are three of the Falmouth Hotel’s top activities for you and your furry friend to make the most of this popular coastal destination.

1. Stay in a sea view room! The Falmouth Hotel has many dog-friendly rooms, including standard sea-view rooms. They’re also allowed on the hotel grounds on a lead, and charged at just £15 a night, it’s really a no-brainer to bring your waggy tailed friend along!

2. If you have a dog, the likelihood is that when you think ‘Cornwall’, you imagine long walks along the sand with your canine bounding to and fro to their heart’s content. One of Falmouth’s most popular beaches, Gyllyngvase is the perfect place to enjoy an early morning walk at the water’s edge – the perfect start to the day – or an early evening stroll, the perfect way to work up an appetite, or alternatively, to walk off that delicious seafood supper! It does have a seasonal dog ban in place between 15th May and 30th September, however the ban only applies between 10am and 6pm.

3. With Pendennis Castle viewable from the hotel, a trip to this iconic and historic site of interest is too tempting to resist. Built to guard the mouth of the river during the reign of Henry VIII, dogs are welcome on leads to explore Pendennis Castle, inside and out!
