5 of the best pubs

1 THE FOX AND HOUNDS
Fancy a meal out but have your furry friend in tow? Don’t let that stop you from enjoying delicious food together, simply visit the Fox and Hounds at Comford! With a specially designed canine menu to cater for your dog’s culinary requirements as well as seasonal specials for you, it’s the ultimate shared dining experience. This includes tasty Sunday carveries for both humans and hounds to enjoy! At the bar, you’ll find a wide range of beverages to quench your thirst and not forgetting your companion, why not treat them to a doggie Pawsecco? Offering food from 12pm to 9pm, seven days a week, the Fox and Hounds really does take ‘dog friendly’ to a whole new level!

2 THE LEMON ARMS
Mylor is the perfect spot for a creek side walk, a tucked-away haven for wildlife waiting to be explored. It is ideal for nature lovers looking to stretch their legs while enjoying the peace and tranquillity of the area with their furry friend. One of our favourite strolls is from Mylor Bridge, along Mylor Creek and then around to Restronguet Weir and back. We recommend refuelling at the Lemon Arms after working up an appetite on this relaxing circular walk. The team have a brilliant menu of pub classics, a daily specials board, local ales on tap and to top it all off, a dog-friendly beer garden for your sleepy hound to rest their legs!

3 The pandora Inn
Nudging the edge of Restronguet Creek, the Pandora Inn will take you back in time. Parts of this thatched, low-beamed inn date to the 13th century, its flagstone floors and charm have remained unchanged for centuries. Yet within, modern comfort meets historic character. Reopened in March 2025 under the stewardship of John and Tom, following a thoughtful refurbishment, they have preserved its heritage while enhancing its menus and service. With limited parking, visitors are encouraged to arrive by boat, bicycle, or on foot, making the journey as memorable as the destination at this award-winning Cornish pub.

4 THE NORWAY INN
Discover dog-friendly days at The Norway Inn, Perranarworthal. Visit for breakfast from 7:30am and bring your dog along for a warm welcome. Just a short stroll away, discover St Piran’s Church and ancient well, a peaceful spot surrounded by nature. Enjoy walking access to Perranarworthal village and explore the nearby Devichoys Wood Nature Reserve, perfect for woodland adventures. After your walk, relax in the dog-friendly bar with treats and water bowls for your pup. With two for £26 on pub classics running Monday to Friday, and two for £26 on pub fish and chips every Friday, The Norway Inn offers countryside charm, hearty food and a haven for walkers and wagging tails.

5 Finn Mcouls
A proudly dog-friendly pub just a stone’s throw from the Prince of Wales pier in Falmouth, Finn Mcouls is a popular spot for dog-walkers in this famed maritime town, and for good reason. Surrounded by pasty shops and chip shops, the team’s catchphrase is “We have the pub, you bring the grub!”. Humans and hounds alike can warm up by the log fire in the winter, or quench thirsty throats in the summer. Or why not take the ferry to St Mawes or Flushing for the fabulous walks and golden beaches there? Treats and water are always on hand for four-legged guests, and of course there’s plenty of local ales for you to wash down your choice of Falmouth’s foodie scene!
