A bright, art-filled future
Determined not to rest on their laurels, the much-loved Cornish brand, Whistlefish, has plans to continue growing throughout 2022.\
Founded by artist Lyn Thompson, Whistlefish is an art, card and gift retailer with a strong Cornish imprint in its soul. Conceived by Lyn whilst she was selling her hand-painted cards at craft fairs across the county, Whistlefish has grown to number 14 stylish galleries throughout the south west, all in classic beauty spots such as St Ives, Padstow and Fowey.
Whistlefish is proud to have now launched a brand-new gallery on site at the award-winning Hendra Holiday Park, and has another fresh new space launching this year in the centre of Cornish summer hotspot, Perranporth.
Filled with beautiful wares designed by both a network of external artists, and their own talented in-house team, Whistlefish provides the discerning shopper with a range of gorgeous cards, attention grabbing art and fabulous gifts; perfect if you’re buying for somebody who has Cornwall close to their heart.
The range of cards that are produced by Whistlefish has evolved over the years and now covers all occasions for all manner of recipients. Every one of their cards is printed on high quality, 100% recycled paper, and as part of their commitment to a sustainable future, come completely plastic free.
Whistlefish are constantly producing and releasing fresh new card designs throughout the year and don’t just cover occasions; they have a wide selection of art cards that can either be used to fit any message, or combined with a hand-made card frame and turned into a work of art for your walls.
Whistlefish simply love art, whether it’s the feeling of excitement when you find that special piece that you just know will light up your living space, or the peaceful contentment you get when furnishing your room with the perfect picture. They are extremely proud of their artwork and they put their heart and soul into each and every print they produce. Every one of their framed prints and canvases are handmade at their framing factory located in the heart of Cornwall, so you know that when you pick up that perfect print in a Whistlefish gallery, you are taking a real piece of Cornwall home with you.
With some exciting product launches on the horizon for 2022, including a transformative new look for one of their St Ives galleries, there is a bright and arty future for this much-loved Cornish company.
