A different kind of dentistry
Thoughtful dentistry brings advanced treatment and lasting oral health together.
For Dr Alkisti Vousvouni, dentistry is about understanding the person sitting in the chair as carefully as the teeth being examined. As Principal Dentist and owner of Revitalise Dental Centre, she has developed a practice where clinical expertise is matched by an evident concern for comfort, communication and the long-term health of each patient. Alkisti graduated from Cardiff University in 2010, subsequently working in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Royal Cornwall Hospital before teaching dental students in Melbourne. She also holds a Postgraduate degree from King’s College London and became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons’ Joint Dental Faculties in 2015.
At Revitalise, that experience informs an approach that gives patients time to understand their options and make considered decisions. The purpose-built centre near St Agnes has been designed around patient comfort, with a welcoming reception and lounge alongside modern treatment rooms. The practice also offers sedation options for nervous patients.
Its treatment range extends from routine preventive dentistry to dental implants, dentures, orthodontics and cosmetic procedures including composite bonding, veneers and teeth whitening offered by world-renowned Dr Jason Smithson. All the laboratory and support work is done in the UK and mainly at the I-site laboratory to ensure quality throughout.
Full-mouth rehabilitation is available for more complex restorative needs, while the multidisciplinary team brings different areas of expertise together when treatment demands it.
One of the centre’s practical advantages is its own on-site dental laboratory, where bespoke prosthetics are made. Keeping laboratory work close to the clinical team can help with adjustments and repairs, while the practice says it also allows greater control over quality and turnaround times.
Digital technology forms another part of the service, alongside an emphasis on preventative care and treatment planned for longevity. The result is dentistry with a broader view of patient wellbeing, delivered by a team that places listening at the heart of the consultation. With free unlimited parking and easy access from the A30, Revitalise offers a considered setting for people who want their dental care to be thorough, personal and built around lasting results.
