The business has grown from a fabric shop to a creative showroom, inspiring and helping clients to find exactly what they’re looking for”

The Cotton Mills started as a fabric warehouse 30 years ago on Pydar Street, Truro. The business has grown from a fabric shop to a creative showroom, inspiring and helping clients to find exactly what they’re looking for. Ali is the second generation in her family to work in the interior industry, having created interiors for homes, award winning guesthouses and hotels. It is thanks to the varied and loyal client base over the past 30 years that has given her encouragement to build her own shop.

The team at The Cotton Mills Design House is made up of a wonderful range of people from different creative backgrounds and interests. Jules trained as an architect, whilst Pipa has a background in ceramics and her creative eye is spot-on when it comes to Scandi trends. Sarah is a style guru who has over 30 years’ experience in design. Molly is full of vibrancy and has recently completed a textiles degree at Falmouth University, and Rebecca and Julia are natural creatives with superb attention to detail when it comes to knowing all of the collections. The Cotton Mills Design House has its own fitters, Clive and Richard, who provide a trustworthy measuring and fitting service for your curtains, blinds or shutters. This service wouldn’t be possible without talented curtain makers and upholsterers, who create curtains, cushions and upholstery to one of the highest standards in the south west.

Visit the new Cotton Mills Design House showroom, where the experienced and enthusiastic team can help you with your project. They will source fabrics for you and create storyboards in-house at no additional cost, helping you to create your desired interior look from carpets and wall paint, to mirrors, lighting and furniture pieces. They are excited to extend their knowledge to lighting ranges such as Nordlux, Astro, Tom Raffield, as well as those further afield in Ireland and Gras lighting from France. Pop in to meet the team and enjoy some time in a brand new creative environment at Angel House, Infirmary Hill, Truro.
