A sound success
The Cornwall Hi-Fi and Home Cinema Show, held on the 10th and 11th of October, surpassed all expectations.
Organised and hosted by HBH Woolacotts and held at the Royal Cornwall Showground, the event was extremely well received by visitors, customers and exhibitors. Since its inception in 2017, the show has continued to grow and evolve, becoming a much-anticipated fixture in the regional calendar. Its timing aligns perfectly with major new product launches, making it a unique opportunity for enthusiasts in Cornwall and beyond to get hands-on with the latest technology before it hits the shelves.
This year’s show was particularly impressive, featuring no fewer than five UK or world-first product unveilings from some of the most respected names in the industry. Among them, Cyrus showcased its forthcoming 80-AMP – the British brand’s first-ever full-size hi-fi amplifier, marking a bold new direction for a company best known for its compact half-size units.
Henley Audio drew crowds with an exciting trio of innovations from Wiim: the AMP-ULTRA, SUB-PRO, and SOUND, all making their first appearance at a UK show. These new releases are set to strengthen Wiim’s already strong reputation in the wireless home audio sector. Monitor Audio impressed with its brand-new BRONZE-7G series, which includes the BRONZE50 Bookshelf and BRONZE300 Floorstanding speakers – a range that promises outstanding sound performance at an accessible price point. Meanwhile, KEF brought a burst of colour with the recently announced MUO portable speakers, available in five striking finishes.
The Adrian Dykes Award for Best Stand was presented to The Chord Company, whose engaging and educational demo room guided visitors through the benefits of upgrading cables and power products. Sanus received the Special Recognition Award for its exceptional presentation and customer engagement.
As the South West’s leading destination for hi-fi and home cinema, HBH Woolacotts continues to champion innovation and quality.
