It’s no secret that Cornwall is full of hidden gems, yet finding them can be tricky. One such treasure that we recently unearthed is Kernow Adventure Park. Nestled in a beautiful reclaimed quarry near Falmouth, you’ll find an epic adventure for every member of the family.\

Founded in 2013 as a stand-alone wake boarding park, Kernow Adventure Park opened its doors with two aims: to provide high-standard watersports, and to nurture a community. Over the years, founder Alex’s vision has remained the same, but the park has gone through some dramatic transformations and this year, the new season which starts on 1st May is set to be the biggest and best yet!

The impressive Aqua Park includes slippery slides, floating trampolines, air bags, climbing frames and much more, all connected by floating walk ways. With one highly-qualified instructor per ten participants, the team is able to provide an interesting and entertaining session for everybody involved. The best part is that the activities are accessible to all, making the park a real destination day out.

Speaking to Alex about the upcoming season, he tells us: “Being accessible to everyone and allowing them the opportunity to practice safe watersports and gain the benefits of exercising outdoors is all part of our ‘Kernow culture’. This year we’ve made real changes to the park, ensuring that every element of our business truly reflects our values.”

As part of these changes, Alex and co have taken customer feedback seriously and are expanding the park, reflecting the needs of their customers. Recently, they invested in a fleet of stand-up paddleboards, in both regular and giant sized, and are now able to fit eight people on boards at any one time. This fun and often hilarious activity is perfect for family bonding, events
and parties.

Finally, as every action-packed day out inevitably requires sustenance, Kernow Adventure Park is set to take on an external company to manage the on-site bar and restaurant, providing tasty treats and much-needed nourishment after a busy day playing on the water.

With a man-made golden beach, its sheltered suntrap location and silky Cornish freshwater lake, Kernow Adventure Park is the perfect safe environment for a family day out this summer.
