Beachcombing and rockpool safaris are family favourites. From cowrie shells to sea glass, there is always treasure to be found on shore, and at low-tide, rockpools become mini-aquariums – all you need is a bucket and your eyes.

If you fancy a tipple, the islands are home to vineyards and even a gin school. And for foodies, the bounty of the sea is a given, from fish and chips to fresh lobster. We still haven’t mentioned the miles of coastal paths, spectacular beaches, golf, horse riding, cycling…the list goes on. The islands are famously dog-friendly, and your dogs are very welcome on board both flights and ferry.
