Art Exhibition to open in Gorran Haven
Over the early May Bank Holiday, Cornish artist Sheila Pearce will be holding her first exhibition in more than ten years of painting, at Gorran Haven Village Memorial Hall.
The idea, Sheila tells us, “is that it will show the story of my progression as a painter. My paintings are of the Cornish landscape and coastal villages. Paintings, prints and cards will all be for sale.”
Sheila’s work is described as atmospheric…
“One of the things I like is when the viewer gets the atmosphere and the emotion that I’m trying to put over in the painting, as well as just recognising locations.”
Sheila will also be placing painted rocks around the village as part of the children’s hide and seek game, Cornwall Rocks, as well as displaying a life size painting of Captain Poldark, in which visitors can have their face photographed!
