The Quarry by Mary Taylor

Mary’s artistic journey began in London, where she studied exhibition design and earned a BA in Fine Art. Now working from her studio overlooking Argal Reservoir, she draws inspiration from the landscape that surrounds her. Deconstructing natural forms, she distils their structure into line and colour, layering different media to create depth and movement. Each piece evolves gradually, capturing the essence of place with a balance of harmony and energy. Her work can be seen at the Penwith Gallery, the Cowhouse Gallery, Lizard Art at the Trelowarren Gallery, as well as Open Studios and the Argal Art Trail (May 2nd–5th).
