Introducing the photorealistic seascapes of Jamie Medlin

A Cornish marine artist specialising in photorealistic oil paintings of Cornwall’s seascapes and yachts, Jamie takes inspiration from nature and the array of stunning views we’re surrounded by in the Duchy. His aim: to produce quality paintings replicating the beauty of these views, capturing the nuances of light and how they’re affected by the weather, time of day and seasons. This combination of factors creates an infinite possibility of scenes and moods, all of which can be pleasing to the eye for differing reasons, and this is highlighted by the diversity of work within his portfolio. His exhibition Jamie Medlin – Nuances of Light will be running at Falmouth Art Gallery from 20th April to 29th June.
