Sue Templeman
Mullion in May

After studying art, Sue forged a career working at the BBC, where she stayed for 30 years. She kept painting, however, and is now lucky enough to live in an old coastguard cottage overlooking Mullion Cove, where she loves welcoming visitors during Open Studios.

Janet Judge
Lizard Lighthouse, Across Housel Bay

Janet paints contemporary landscape and still life pieces in watercolour and mixed media. Frequently painted on location capturing the colour and drama of the Cornish coast and landscape, Janet’s paintings, prints and cards are all available at her studio, which is open all year by appointment. Commissions are welcome, and see Janet’s website for information about her watercolour workshops.

Carolyn Thompson
Blue Rocks at Poltesco

Carolyn is a painter and printmaker living and working on the Lizard. Carolyn’s work is currently concerned with land and seascapes in the local environment, while previous work has been inspired by working trips to Greece, Cuba, Morocco and Newfoundland, Canada.

Simon Jewell
Cyclonic Southwesterly

Contemporary land and seascape artist and black and white fine art photographer, Simon Jewell, captures the untamed and ethereal beauty of the Lizard peninsula. Small to large scale artworks are available at Simon and Rebecca Jewells’ studio, which is open all year by appointment.

Mary Taylor
Landscape October

Mary Taylor takes the elements of the landscape and, by a process of deconstructing and reassembling, she retains the structure in an abstracted form by means of line and colour, without losing all recognition.

Rebecca Jewell
Elegance

Rebecca Jewell creates contemporary botanical paintings, focusing on light and shade and sometimes forming compositions using glass bottles to complement nature’s natural beauty. Original artworks in all sizes (up to one metre) are available, as well as prints and cards, at Rebecca and Simon Jewell’s studio, which is open all year by appointment.
