Owner of Ladyvale Bakery, Lara Spurrell has been honing her skills since her youth, spending her childhood baking with her nan and nurturing a passion for food. More professionally, she opened the award-winning Woods Café in Cardinham with her husband David in 2009, where she continued to develop her craft. After this, they opened the doors of Ladyvale Bakery, the natural cake conclusion of Lara’s baking journey and a new Duchy development situated in Plen Tennyson, Nansledan. Just one of a number of lovely, small independent businesses in the area, Ladyvale boasts a gorgeous cake counter full of stunning bakes inspired by the seasons.

If it’s something special you are celebrating, then Ladyvale Bakery also produces delicious high teas with many customers stating it’s the best high tea they’ve ever had! The new autumn menu features warm fig and brie open sandwiches, Ladyvale’s famous cheese scones, autumn berry meringues and caramel apple cheesecake, with a delicious glass of bubbly to make it extra special.   

Also on offer are some fantastic celebration cake services including wedding cakes adorned with hand-painted watercolours and perfect piping, each available in a range of flavours from salted caramel and toasted pecans to blueberry and white chocolate. Alternatively, you can order a themed cake for a birthday, anniversary, or other special occasion and choose from a range of designs. If you are after something simpler, order a classic or floral celebration cake decorated in Ladyvale’s signature style with handmade macarons, gold touches and homegrown edible flowers. The team will even design beautifully crafted vintage piped heart cakes!
