Café Uneeka unveils a new look and menu in Truro.

Café Uneeka, the much-loved dining spot above Uneeka’s lifestyle store on Boscawen Street, Truro, steps confidently into a new season with a vibrant makeover and a refreshed menu designed to brighten even the greyest day. Part of Cornwall’s cherished independent brand Uneeka, the café has long been a haven for creativity and comfort. Now, that spirit has been channelled into a revitalised space that feels fresher, bolder and more uplifting than ever.

The redesign has been a joyful team collaboration. “The design evolved through so many stages, shaped by ideas from the whole team,” says assistant manager Bella. The final look blends flowing organic shapes with nature-led tones: calming greens, earthy tilework, natural textures incorporating playful bursts of colour, including a warming sweep of bold orange. The result is a space that feels renewed yet comfortingly familiar.

The menu, too, has embraced the season. New dishes such as the spiced cauliflower toastie sit alongside revamped classics, like the vibrant sharing boards for two. Winter warmers, including indulgent boozy hot chocolates, make a welcome return. “We’ve brought back favourites and focused on flavours that are warming and unique,” says Café Manager Hollie. “Almost everything is made in-house and we’ve worked hard to keep the menu adaptable for all dietary needs so everyone feels welcome.”

Responding to enthusiastic customer demand, Café Uneeka is also now bottling and selling its delicious parsnip and chilli chutney, a cult favourite thanks to its appearance in several toasties. It joins a growing retail shelf featuring chai syrup, LoveDay spirits distilled in Falmouth and locally roasted coffee beans, with more treats on the way.

Alongside extended opening hours, 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and 10:30am to 4:30pm on Sundays, the café continues to serve as a vibrant community hub. The upstairs space is available to rent for private events, gatherings, or creative workshops, whilst the team also offers catering-only options for those hosting elsewhere.
