Boost your skills

Open new doors this year with a university level qualification from Truro and Penwith College.

If you’re looking to retrain or enhance your skills and are yet to embark on the career you’ve always dreamed of because of time commitments elsewhere, there couldn’t be a better time than now. Situated in the heart of Truro, amongst the beautiful Cornish countryside and complemented by the stunning scenery in Penzance, Truro and Penwith College campuses boast an ideal location with purpose-built and industry-standard facilities.

Smaller class sizes allow plenty of time for one-to-one personal support from tutors and the opportunity to fit life around lectures, making study here suitable for students of all ages and backgrounds. In addition, all university courses at Truro and Penwith College are accredited by the University of Plymouth or Pearson. Students enrolled on a University of Plymouth course have access to the university’s online services, use of additional libraries, electronic resources and learning support materials.

Students that have gained a university level qualification from Truro and Penwith College have gone on to launch their own businesses, helping Cornwall become a healthier place, teaching the next generation of Cornish children and working within health and e-health. Johnny Lawrence completed his BSc (Hons) Applied Sport and Health Science at the College and with business guidance from the university department’s teaching and support staff, went on to build a gym in his garden where he runs his successful personal training and coaching business.

Applications are now being taken for over 30 career-focused university level courses that span over 11 different subject areas at the TEF Gold-rated Truro and Penwith College. Additionally, there are a vast range of Access to Higher Education courses available, covering a variety of subject areas including medicine and science, as well as social care and sport science. Many of these courses have university level progression routes available at the college, allowing students to continue their studies in Cornwall.

So, if you’re ready for the next challenge or want to boost your career prospects while staying and studying in the place you love, then why not check out the college’s website to discover more?
