Avalen Farm

A courtyard of traditional barns, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, are being restored to create a unique Cornish wedding venue. Four generations of a local farming family have been involved in the two year project to transform the historic barns, which were formerly part of the Lanhydrock estate, into an unforgettable place to hold your special celebration.

Tucked away in 100 acres of farmland, Avalen nestles in amongst rolling countryside and rambling hedgerows. These beautiful set of barns are being sympathetically converted to retain their original beauty and charm, creating the most perfect, romantic, wedding venue. The central courtyard for games and socialising, can add another dimension to your celebrations which will be exclusively for your use. As a family run business we are proud to be able to offer that personal touch, helping to craft a unique, flexible and relaxed occasion for you and your guests. We will be registered to hold civil services at the farm, or you can choose to have a celebrant – or just hold your wedding reception here. As a lifetime memory to mark each event, a tree will be planted along side the ancient woodlands at the farm named Avalen which is Cornish for Apple Tree.
