Bonnie Steward, aged 24 and based in west Cornwall, creates her artwork from plastics and other waste materials collected on beach cleans (hence BISH – rubBISH!). She creates original collages from all materials collected in the locations she depicts. "This," she explains, "is easy when beach waste is abundant and when you live next to the coast in Cornwall."

Bonnie works on a large scale, taking months to create a single collage – collecting rubbish, cleaning, arranging and layering. It's a process that takes patience, meticulousness, and above all else, passion for the work she creates.
