Coastal Elegance

We discover a country house hotel by the sea that takes seaside splendour to the next level.

If you’re looking for the ultimate in accommodation, with incredible views out across the bay, then we highly recommend a stay at The Nare. Family owned, and with hospitality at its heart, nothing is too much trouble here. You would be forgiven for not wanting to the leave the opulent comfort of the hotel; however, with a veritable ocean playground on your doorstep we would highly recommend you venture forth.

Family fun

The Nare welcomes family with open arms and what could be better than spending long lazy days on the sand. Take a safe and sheltered sea swim, or a barefoot beach amble, before settling down for an al-fresco picnic. Summer is a splendid time to enjoy the south coast of Cornwall, with its own unique microclimate that is more akin to the Med than the UK. This summer, The Nare has some great bespoke family-friendly activities to enjoy, suitable for all generations. The reservations team are delighted to curate these for guests, ensuring a memorable family holiday for your whole family.

Beach retreat

The Nare has its very own stretch of sand, Carne Beach, which is one of Cornwall’s best-kept secrets. At high tide it’s a wonderful place for a swim, where at low tide a mile of golden sand is revealed for safe bathing. There are some fantastic rock pools to explore and plenty of space for a game of beach volleyball or cricket; or just some good old-fashioned sandcastle building. The beach is easily accessible from the hotel and a great place to while away a summer’s day. Enjoy a stroll along the water’s edge, with your eyes to the horizon, and who knows, you might even catch a glimpse of a dolphin or visiting seals.

Poolside relaxation

The Nare ‘s private outdoor pool is surrounded by sun loungers and enjoys fantastic views across the gardens, the beach and out to sea. The outdoor pool is open between May and October and is heated to a warm 30°C. The outdoor hot tub sits in the shelter of a beach hut overlooking the sea, where you relax and watch the sun go down over Nare Head. The indoor pool has its own jet stream for ambitious swimmers and a hot hydrotherapy spa, sauna and steam room for complete relaxation.
