Ben’s Beach House, Portreath
Cornwall Hideaways are excited to share Ben’s Beach House, an exceptional four storey townhouse sleeping eight guests in four stunning bedrooms. With bi-fold doors leading out onto a large balcony from the open-plan living area, this special hideaway commands absolutely spectacular views over Portreath’s golden sandy beach.
Contemporary and stylish, this property is full of state-of-the-art features, including an integrated sound system and wood-burning stove. One of the bedrooms on the second floor boasts a cathedral style ceiling with bi-fold doors and high windows, allowing guests to wake up to the light pouring in and views out to sea.
Outside, along with the balcony, is a private and enclosed area with an outdoor shower for rinsing off, straight from the sandy shore. Perfect for wagging tails, Ben’s Beach House is just minutes from Portreath beach, with the village’s amenities right on its doorstep. Home to a varied selection of independent shops, restaurants and cafés, and with its superb beach and the iconic Gull Rock jutting out of the waves just off the coastline, this coastal village has to be one of the most delightful seaside resorts in Cornwall.
If you’re planning a big-group break, you’ll be pleased to know that Ben’s Beach House can also be booked alongside neighbouring property, Lucy’s Beach House – an equally stunning townhouse. Sleeping 16 between them, what better way to escape to Cornwall with a large group of friends or family?
2 Wheal Turnavore, St Agnes
As soon as you approach 2 Wheal Turnavore, you’ll be impressed with the striking and contemporary architecture. The quirky, reverse-level accommodation; sitting near the hugely popular village of St Agnes, benefits from far-reaching views across stunning countryside, just a stone’s throw from the coast. Sleeping six, the property is perfect for friends or family seeking adventure in both rural and coastal surroundings.
Finished to an extremely high standard, the property has modern features throughout and provides a welcoming base to return to. Downstairs there are three spacious bedrooms, each with their own stylish décor. There’s also a snug TV room with an array of books and games for those quiet times.
As you walk upstairs, you’re greeted with an impressive open-plan living space, incorporating a fully equipped kitchen, where you can cook up a storm using the wonderful local produce available in Cornwall. The indoor sitting area boasts plush sofas and a wood-burning stove for cosy evenings in front of the fire. Or, make the most of the warm evening sun by heading out to the terrace.
Thankfully, when enjoying a holiday in St Agnes you don’t have to stray far to be entertained, with the convenience of the town nearby as well as Trevaunance Cove and the acclaimed South West Coast Path, which are both on your doorstep.
Dune House, Gwithian
Dune House is a luxury holiday home that commands epic views over Gwithian dunes, over to St Ives and out towards Godrevy Lighthouse. The property is brand new and purpose built with an active beach lifestyle in mind. Imaginative with its layout, clever with its use of architectural glazing and with generous outdoor space, it’s a unique and exclusive accommodation choice.
Stepping inside Dune House you are welcomed into a large and luxurious open-plan living, kitchen and dining area. Large patio doors slide open and connect the inside space with the decking and lawned garden. For the cooler months, Dune House has underfloor heating downstairs, as well as a stylish contemporary woodburner to keep you toasty. There is also a large snug or games room, and purpose-built après-surf changing rooms with two showers and space for drying wetsuits. Upstairs you have four bedrooms – two king-sized and two twins. The two doubles share a beautiful decked and glazed west-facing balcony, whilst the twins boast views of Godrevy Lighthouse and open farmland.
There’s plenty of space in the large enclosed garden, which has a shed for beach essentials such as body/surfboards and windbreaks, and a barbeque for al fresco feasts. Best of all, Gwithian beach is only a five-minute stroll over the beautiful sand dunes.
