If your holiday relaxation comes in the form of something more active, then Bude’s golf links are on your doorstep, as is access to endless miles of the South West Coast Path.

Songbirds, Bude

Songbirds finds itself tucked away from the noise and busyness of day-to-day life, in a Cornish oasis made for relaxing. Painstakingly restored, this barn sits within the secluded grounds of a 16th century farmhouse and although wonderfully private, every modern luxury has been considered, from hand-built kitchens and luxury bathrooms to oversized sofas and sumptuous beds. Wander out through the doors from the large living spaces to the terraces and enjoy your own little paradise where there is even an area to play petanque to while away the afternoons.

Complete with a fire pit, barbeque and pizza oven, Songbirds is the perfect place to unwind and eat al fresco as the sun comes down on this little piece of heaven. A decked terrace at the bottom of the garden overlooks the large pond where you can take in the morning chorus with a warm coffee in hand to start the day in the most magnificent way. Don’t forget your camera and binoculars either, as Songbirds welcomes wildlife from all around, with red deer and stoats as well as numerous bird species regularly visiting the area.

Polberro Cottage, St Agnes

An exquisite four-bedroom cottage, situated in the picturesque coastal village of St Agnes, and just steps away from The Beacon and less than a 20-minute stroll away from Trevaunance Cove beach.

In the spacious open-plan living area, you are greeted with breathtaking sea views through the large sliding doors, inviting the beauty of the outdoors inside. There is a modern, fully equipped kitchen leading into the dining area with seating for up to eight guests. A vaulted ceiling, exposed brick wall and three comfortable sofas make the ground floor sitting area the perfect gathering spot for the entire group.

Upstairs is a bright and spacious main sitting area, boasting even more vaulted ceilings, an exquisite feature window that opens onto a balcony and a contemporary wood-burning stove, creating a lovely ambience for cosy evenings. Down the hall are two of the four bedrooms. The first boasts a king-size bed, en-suite shower room and a dressing area. Bedroom two is bright and airy featuring a cosy double bed.  Both bedrooms share access to a connecting balcony, with the remaining bedrooms situated on the ground floor. Bedroom three is arranged with two single beds and an en-suite shower room. The fourth bedroom offers a dressing area and super-king-size bed.
