The Wagon | St Teath
Originally the farm’s cart shed, the Wagon has been transformed into a luxurious and peaceful haven for couples seeking a relaxing holiday exploring the coast of Cornwall.
Lightfilled and full of character, inside the 1-bed holiday cottage you’ll find stone walls, oak beams and a cosy wood-burning stove. The open-plan living room has a large comfortable sofa in front of the fire – the perfect place to stretch out, relax and catch up with each other or a box-set on Netflix.
There’s a well-equipped kitchen area for rustling up delicious meals using fresh local produce and a pretty dining area for two by the fire. The adjoining bedroom has a beautiful French oak king-size bed with a mattress from Hypnos. Large windows overlook the courtyard, with a black-out blind for those long lazy lie-ins.
The modern en-suite shower room features a large walk-in rainfall shower. Fluffy towels, bathrobes and luxury toiletries are all provided for that 5-star, spoil yourselves experience.
Outside, your private seating area is the perfect spot to enjoy a leisurely breakfast or a barbecue in the evening. And, after a day spent exploring the spectacular coast and countryside, there are comfortable sunlounges for relaxing on with a good book and a glass of wine.
Palm Court Retreats | Polperro
Tucked away in the historic fishing village of Polperro on Cornwall’s south coast, Palm Court Retreats is home to two distinct properties, each designed around the same belief: that a space shapes how people feel, and how they connect.
Palm Court is a six-bedroom retreat with a global travel-inspired soul – sun-warmed, tactile, built for larger multi-generational gatherings and celebrations. Its newer sibling, Palm Lodge, brings an American ranch-meets-Hamptons sensibility to a more intimate two-bedroom setting, ideal for couples or small groups seeking stillness and character rather than scale.
Founder Luca Leonard, an interior designer by background, curates every detail herself – from the layering of texture and light to the retreat programmes hosted on-site, often alongside specialist facilitators in yoga, creative practices and embodiment work. Both properties are also available for dry-hire to external retreat leaders. The result is a slow-luxury approach to hospitality: understated, sensory-led, very rooted in the Cornish landscape – where design and experience are partners in expression.
