Beautiful stays in Pelynt, Bude and Truro.
Cardwen Farm and Cottages, Pelynt
Set in the grounds of Cardwen Farm, in the village of Pelynt and close to Looe and Polperro on the south Cornish coast, is a delightful group of holiday cottages which have all undergone a complete renovation, now providing stylishly comfortable living accommodation.
Cardwen Farmhouse, Lily Cottage, Hook Cottage and Erin Cottage make up this lovely collection of properties. With a combined number of 11 bedrooms, this an ideal place to be able to stay as a large family or a group of friends wanting to stay close to one another but with their own separate cottages.
Each cottage has been sympathetically restored using subtle pastel tones and soft furnishings which complement the buildings and their surroundings, and all consideration has been taken to make them into very comfortable holiday cottages. There is also a large spacious shared landscaped garden, with big open lawns and plenty of seating to enjoy, all with views across the local countryside.
Located just three miles from the south coast, Cardwen Farm is the ideal place for those looking for a beach holiday. There is plenty to visit in the area, from castles to museums, and being within an easy drive of some of Cornwall’s most famous attractions, such as The Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the cathedral city of Truro, what better place to enjoy your holiday?
Fairway has been refurbished from top to bottom, without exception. Understated elegance is enhanced by bespoke furniture and original artwork from local artists. Two living rooms offer endless opportunities to relax. Children, back from the beach, sandy toes soaked away in one of the seven bathrooms, will delight in the games room complete with pool table. And after a busy day of adventure, the kitchen is well-equipped for preparing dinner and crisp bedroom linens invite tired bodies to sleep like babies.
The private designer garden at Fairway has a distinct Mediterranean feel with its Italian porcelain patio, cedar clad fencing and built-in seating area with garden table. Surfers and sand lovers can rinse off under the outdoor warm water shower before soaking away any cares in the cedar hot tub – heaven!
Take a short stroll from Fairway House and you’ll find yourself overlooking the ocean. A holiday here offers instant access to north Cornwall’s incredible outdoor playground. From endless beach days building sandcastles and scouring the rock pools to the more grown-up pastimes of long cliff walks, working up an appetite for lunch at award-winning seafood restaurants, no-one is left out. This is a great place to holiday all year round, with easy access to some of Cornwall’s best all-weather attractions.
