This has led to the development of the Energiser Rayburn conversion kit, which is presently on field trial. This innovative conversion kit is proving every bit as successful as the ElectricKit Aga conversion and has been designed to fit the majority of Rayburn models. The company is often contacted by Rayburn owners who have either had major mechanical breakdowns or fuel issues which can’t be resolved. Such issues can lead to a Rayburn being uneconomic to repair, especially because the parts are often difficult, if not impossible to source. We hear from Cornish Cooker Conversions’ Alan Jackson, who tells us: “By converting to electric, we give your cooker a new lease of life, making it more economical and environmentally friendly, rather than scrapping it, disrupting the kitchen and buying a new cooker.”

It only takes a day to complete the work, which is done in situ – typically with little disruption to the kitchen. Converting your range to electric also means you will now use an alternative and more efficient means of heating water and/or radiators. You still have the ability to enjoy the warmth the Rayburn emits into the kitchen with the benefit of being able to choose how much warmth you want and when.
