We catch up with Cornish Baker, Della Boyns

Born and bred in Sennen Cove, Della Boyns has managed the popular Cook Book St Just for almost five years, and recently launched her outside catering business, Della Events.

She tells us:

“We launched our website (www.dellaevents.co.uk) a couple of months ago to test the market and were shocked how quickly enquiries started coming in.”

On the food they offer, Della tells us: “It’s food cooked from the heart. Our Afternoon Teas are very popular as we bake all the scones and cakes ourselves. We also deliver everything to the venue – crockery, cutlery, fizz – and then our staff take it all away to wash up afterwards. It’s very easy for people. Our Hog Roasts are also very popular, as are our Gourmet Hampers.”

The Cook Book’s private hire in the evenings is really taking off as people can bring their own alcohol – very popular during the festive period! And, don’t forget to pre-order your Christmas cake by Sunday 3rd December!
