With tasty, seasonal Cornish food on offer, we’re celebrating success with The Cornish Pantry Restaurant at Cornwall Gold.

When you think of a hearty breakfast to start the day, the first thing that springs to mind may not be Cornwall Gold. But tucked away just off the A30 between Redruth and Portreath is a hidden gem.

Its Cornish Pantry Restaurant, situated within 18 acres of beautiful grounds, serves a breakfast menu featuring all your early morning favourites, from humble bubble and squeak to its award-winning full Cornish breakfast presented on a tinner’s shovel. All ingredients are sourced from within a 20-mile radius of the kitchen, so this truly is an authentically local affair.

Don’t allow this novel presentation to fool you though. Drawing on the site’s rich heritage, Cornwall Gold deserves recognition for being home to the last remaining tin mill in Europe. Tolgus Tin Mill is steeped in history and provides the tin for Cornwall Gold’s Tolgus Collection; a bespoke range of jewellery forged from tin combined with gold and silver. Proceeds from this collection allow the renovation of Tolgus Mill to continue, ensuring this unique piece of Cornwall’s heritage is preserved for future generations.

The breakfast menu is served everyday until 11.30am, but you can always get your foodie fix as the full Cornish breakfast is served all day, alongside such other traditional Cornish dishes as licky pie, pasty platter and clacky pork.

Crowning another successful year in which the team have been awarded Gold in the Taste of the West Awards, the Cornish Pantry has also now reached the finals of the prestigious Cornwall Tourism Awards in the Café of the Year category. Whatever time you visit, you’ll leave feeling delightfully satisfied, not least because of the wonderfully attentive service from the Cornwall Gold team.

Cornwall Gold is open everyday throughout the winter from 10am to 4.30pm, except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
