Delicious dining

Introducing new restaurant and rising star in Cornwall’s foodie scene, Edie’s Kitchen.

Here at Cornwall Living, one of our favourite past-times is discovering amazing restaurants that serve high quality food in a relaxed and friendly environment; Edie’s Kitchen is one such restaurant. Run by acclaimed chef Nigel Brown and his wife Kelly, Edie’s is a family restaurant that has good food and impeccable service at its heart. Named after Nigel and Kelly’s first daughter Edie, with the ‘I’s’ picked out in green as a nod to their new baby Iris, Edie’s truly is a family affair.

“Having grown up in Cornwall, I’m fully aware of the incredible produce that we have available to us and I’m committed to using the freshest, local ingredients in their most flavoursome combinations”

After a twenty year career spent working with culinary luminaries such as Raymond Blanc and Bill Granger, Nigel has brought his well-honed skills and food flair to the beautiful Cornish setting of Carlyon Bay, Cornwall. Similarly, Kelly has a wealth of experience in the restaurant industry, managing many high profile restaurants and providing a flawless level of customer service, together the couple combine their talents in the restaurant industry to provide the ultimate foodie experience.

Nigel tells us: “Having grown up in Cornwall, I’m fully aware of the incredible produce that we have available to us and I’m committed to using the freshest, local ingredients in their most flavoursome combinations.” Take the pan-fried hake, Lyonnaise potatoes, samphire, mojo verdi and squid ink aioli for example, a tantalising and creative balance of flavours that work beautifully together. Kelly continues: “You can always expect seasonal, local food and a warm welcome at our wonderful new restaurant.” A fact that hasn’t gone unnoticed, we did some digging and have found this review from one happy customer: “Edie’s Kitchen is run by a husband and wife team, he works wonders in the kitchen and she charms guests front of house. The steak, which is always a good measure of a restaurant, is excellent and all other dishes are equally as good.” So there you have it, a first hand account of just how good the foodie experience at Edie’s is.

Don’t take our word for it though, head to Edie’s for yourself and tuck into delicious local fayre; expertly cooked and served in a family friendly and welcoming environment.
