Two distinctive retreats invite guests to embrace Cornwall in a more relaxed way.

Palm Court Retreats has grown from a simple idea shaped by years of travel: create places where thoughtful design encourages people to settle into holiday life from the moment they arrive. Standing on the edge of Polperro, Palm Court and the newly introduced Palm Lodge share that philosophy while offering two distinct experiences, each with its own personality and purpose.

Palm Court is made for gathering. Sleeping up to twelve across six individually styled bedrooms, it welcomes family celebrations, milestone birthdays and long-awaited reunions. Californian and Balearic influences run through the interiors, with natural textures, generous living spaces and flashes of music culture reflected in carefully chosen memorabilia. A games room, Sonos sound system, hot tub and spacious terraces invite guests to spend unhurried days together before lingering over meals beneath the evening sky.

Palm Lodge presents a different mood. Inspired by American ranch homes and the relaxed elegance of the Hamptons, its timber-clad interior, curated Americana prints and log burner create an inviting setting for couples or smaller groups. Designed with wellness in mind, the house includes spaces suited to yoga, breathwork and hosted retreats, with architecture that encourages moments of reflection as naturally as conversation. Owner Luca and her team also work closely with local chefs, teachers and activity providers, while welcoming facilitators seeking a distinctive venue for residential events.

Both properties draw their character from Polperro as much as their interiors. Coastal paths stretch in either direction, leading across clifftops, towards hidden coves and back to the harbour’s narrow streets, where fishing boats and cafés shape the rhythm of the village. Guests can book either retreat to suit the occasion or reserve both together, creating a setting that comfortably adapts from intimate escapes to celebrations shared with family and friends. This October, Palm Court will be hosting two retreats: Golden Autumn: Ocean Flow Yoga Retreat from 5th to 9th and The Conscious Home: Design with Intention, Interior Design Retreat from 12th to 16th.
