Hannah Gold has spent a lifetime in the company of dogs. Her much-loved cocker spaniel, Monty, is both muse and companion, inspiring not only her acclaimed book Conversations with my Dog but also the portraits she creates for dog owners across Cornwall and beyond.

Hannah began taking commissions for dog portraits at just fifteen, honing her skill across a range of media including acrylic, pastel, pencil and gouache. Each piece goes beyond a likeness, capturing the quirks and essence that photographs alone often miss. Rather than replicating a single image, she blends elements from several snapshots to create a unique, soulful portrait.
