Five Of The Best Doggy Favourites

Here in Cornwall, businesses pride themselves in being dog friendly. At every turn of the path or street, you’ll find that you and your pup are welcomed with open arms. Here are just a few of our favourites for visiting with your canine companion.

Harbour Lights

This charming dog-friendly fish and chip restaurant, nestled in the lively marine town of Falmouth, offers breath-taking harbour views. A must-visit spot and beloved local gem, it proudly serves delicious Cornish fish in crispy batter and tasty chips made from premium Cornish potatoes. As a finalist in the 2023 National Fish & Chip Awards, its commitment to sustainability has earned it accolades. Whether grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a relaxed meal, diners will love the experience.

Chynhale Barns

If your dog could choose where to go on holiday, we think they would be highly likely to choose Chynhale Barns. With lovely secure gardens, zero restrictions on how many dogs you can bring and a fenced meadow that’s great for doggy playtime and picnics, it’s a pooch’s paradise. They haven’t forgotten the humans too, with the addition of an indoor heated swimming pool. Less than five minutes’ drive from Perranporth’s endless, sandy, dog-friendly beach and surrounded by acres of lush green Cornish countryside, Chynhale Barns is just perfect for an adventure with your hound!

The Lemon Arms

Mylor is the perfect spot for a creekside walk, a tucked-away haven waiting to be explored. It’s ideal for nature lovers looking to stretch their legs while enjoying the peace and tranquillity of the area with their furry friend. One of our favourite strolls is from Mylor Bridge, along Mylor Creek and then around to Restronguet Weir and back. We recommend refuelling at the Lemon Arms afterwards. The team have a brilliant menu of pub classics, a daily specials board, local ales on tap and to top it all off, a dog-friendly beer garden for your sleepy hound to rest their legs!
