From Farm to Fork

Boscastle Farm Shop is loved for its locally sourced, fresh produce, a testament to its ethos of providing local people and visitors with high quality food, locally reared Red Ruby beef and great service. Farm shops often feature goods grown or raised on-site or nearby, which not only bolsters local agriculture but also limits food miles and assists eco-friendliness. In recognition of this, Boscastle Farm Shop and its café and tea garden have both been awarded Gold by Taste of the West in 2024 for the second year running. They constantly strive to keep excellence levels high, highlighted by these recent awards; pair that with magnificent panoramic views of the rugged north Cornish coastline and you can see the reason people keep returning.

The farm’s pedigree beef herd can be seen grazing the north Cornish coastal fields above Boscastle. Always upholding a high standard of animal health, the herd has a freedom of movement endorsed by the National Trust. This Red Ruby beef has become the staple in the farm shop’s award-winning traditional steak pasties and steak and ale pies, as well as providing everything from boxeater roasting joints and fillet steaks to the beef shin used in their homemade Cornish stew, which can be found on the daily specials board in the café.
