Fun family theatre

Cousin Jack’s – the theatre company that brought you The Mousehole Cat stage show – comes to Penzance with Percy Pengelly and the Wibble Wobble!

This Easter, ‘wibble wobble’ your way through Percy Pengelly’s tall tale of ups and downs, based on the children’s book by Jenny Steele Scolding. Once the world’s most famous tightrope walker, this fantastic production – hosted in Percy’s more-than-marvellous Cornish big-top – follows Percy’s story as he searches for a new career in Cornwall. Witness his fall from fame to super-duper pooper scooper, before reaching the giddy heights of a fishing port’s rooftops!

“We believe that you are never too old or young to lose yourself in new and imaginative worlds!”

This brand new, live-action production is high in energy, rich in laughs, and takes place in a beautifully re-imagined circus big-top on the lawn at Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens near Penzance. It comes courtesy of Cousin Jack’s Theatre Company, who’re known for high-quality family theatre designed to be enjoyed by all ages. “Family theatre really should be high-quality performances that can be enjoyed by absolutely everyone,” says Artistic Director, Guy Watson. “We believe that you are never too old or young to lose yourself in new and imaginative worlds!” And don’t think for second that this is your average ‘hello boys and girls’ style of offering; the story of Percy Pengelly is specifically designed for the whole family to enjoy together – a chance for old and new friends to sit and share a heart-warming story.

Opening on 28th March, with shows taking place in the morning, afternoon and early evening, Tremenheere Kitchen will also be providing delicious pre-bookable food, to be enjoyed before or after the show. There will also be discounted entry to the sculpture gardens for anyone with a ticket, meaning you and your family can really make a day of it.

For anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed environment, or who might be uncomfortable with loud noises or sudden lighting changes, there will also be relaxed, signed and captioned performances taking place, once again making this Cousin Jack’s production one that absolutely everybody can take part in.

This exciting new production would make a fantastic addition to any Easter itinerary. To find out more about the show and to book your tickets, be sure to head online and visit the Cousin Jacks website.
