Gourmet Gossip November 2019

We catch up with all the latest news from some of our favourite chefs, eateries, hotels and pubs.

Top foodie tips from The Harbour Fish and Grill

Here are some great tips on cooking seafood from Harbour Fish and Grill Executive Head Chef and owner, Aaron Janes, he tells us: “The fresher the better – make sure to go for locally, responsibly sourced and seasonal fish wherever possible. Season with simple citrus flavours a few minutes before cooking and then cook in a salt and butter mix. Keep the fish on the bone for maximum flavour and cook off crab and lobster shells for a rich stock. When serving, a nicely chilled sparkling wine or champagne are the perfect accompaniment!” So, head to your local fishmongers and pick up the daily catch ready to prepare a mouth-watering dinner, or treat yourself to a meal prepared by Aaron himself at the Harbour Fish and Grill in Newquay.
