Head West

Head west and explore this part of the world whilst staying overnight at one of St Austell Brewery’s managed pubs.

Cornwall is a top summer destination famed for its gorgeous beaches, prime foodie spots and stunning views, and it’s arguably just as great in autumn and winter. It’s the perfect place to unwind and relax, and enjoy coastal walks, cosy pubs with crackling fires and bracing dips in crystal clear waters.

Situated in some of the most picturesque parts of Cornwall are the managed pubs of St Austell Brewery. Whether you’re visiting the cultural hotspots of St Ives and Falmouth or fancy somewhere more reclusive, their range of accommodation provides the perfect destination for a post-summer retreat.

Located between the rugged coast of Land’s End and Cape Cornwall, The Old Success Inn is a quintessential Cornish pub with stunning views over Sennen Cove. Known for its cosy atmosphere and hospitality, it’s an ideal spot for an end of year getaway, in one of their comfy rooms or apartments.

Sennen Cove beach is perfect for a bracing winter walk or dip, after which you can return to the pub for the finest seasonal dishes which champion South West produce and fish, accompanied by a pint of St Austell Brewery’s Tribute, korev or Proper Job.

West Cornwall offers some of the clearest night skies for a spot of stargazing too. The West Penwith Dark Sky Park is just a 20-minute drive away from The Old Success Inn. This designated area is renowned for its exceptionally dark skies, making it a prime location to spot a shooting star or two.

For a true taste of how magical Cornwall can be in the winter, then make sure to head to Mousehole. The tiny fishing harbour is famed for its Stargazy pies and glittering Christmas lights display which adorn the harbour walls throughout the festive season.

The 18th century Ship Inn, with its traditional whitewashed façade, is in a prime position on the harbour front and gets to enjoy the stretching views of the seasonal light display. Its low ceilings and walls adorned with memorabilia of times past in the fishing village offer a warm and inviting retreat.

With 44 managed houses across the South West, St Austell Brewery pubs make for an ideal base to explore Cornwall and Devon as well as offering up cosy accommodation for a restful break. Where will you find your next stay?
