The multi award-winning Curio Spirits opens a new shop, distillery and bar in Porthleven Shipyard.
Established in 2014, Curio Spirits has been leading the way when it comes to the UK’s resurgence of craft gins and rums. Established and trusted creators of high-quality spirits,
William one of the co-founders of Curio Spirits said, “We’re really excited about being in Porthleven, there’s such a great buzz with so many other local entrepreneurs. We’ve had a very warm welcome and are looking forward to 2022.”
Locals and visitors alike can now not only experience Curio and their unmistakable spirits of gin, vodka and rum, but can also take part in exciting gin and rum tasting events and cocktail making classes, all aimed at those curious creatives who enjoy something a little different. With new premises and a year of growth planned for 2022, Curio is delighted to welcome two new team members, Milo Howes as Distillery Assistant and Beth Foote as Marketing and PR Assistant who will both play a key part in promoting the Curio brand.
As a team, it’s clear that the Curio clan love what they do. They are passionate about the product and always strive to provide the best service to their customers.
The company ethos is one where provenance, creativity and innovation is at the fore. An example of which is William’s latest creation of Hard Seltzers that are already proving to be a huge success. Curio Rhubarb and Ginger and Peach and Rose Hard Seltzers both won gold in this year’s Taste of the West awards. Local ingredients are used wherever and whenever possible, including botanicals from the Cornish clifftops and herbs hand-picked and grown in the Curio garden. They also only use pure natural spring water from the Cornish Spring Water Company for distillations, so you can rest assured that your favourite tipple is as pure as they come.
Curio Spirits come with an exceptional pedigree, being recognised with awards both regionally, nationally and internationally. Watch this space, there are more innovations planned for next year!
