Just the thing

Regent Court Veterinary Practice goes full circle with the opening of a new pop-up practice in St Just.

When she was just a young girl, Samantha Sanger wrote to Sir David Attenborough about her dream of working with animals, later receiving a handwritten note from David offering his advice. Fast-forward to today, Samantha now runs her own successful veterinary practice in west Cornwall, alongside husband and practice manager Phil. It goes to show that dreams really can come true with both determination and vision. But never ones to rest on their laurels, the couple behind Regent Court Veterinary Practice have just announced the opening of a new satellite practice in the buzzing town of St Just this April.

“It’s a much more personal approach, which customers seem to appreciate and relate to.”

Phil tells us: “We’re really excited to become a part of this bustling community town, bringing a veterinary practice back to St Just for the first time in around 20 years.” In fact, as Phil explains, this represents a full circle – the previous surgery in St Just was originally set up by one of the original founders of Regent Court Veterinary Practice.

Samantha adds: “Helping people that little bit further west with their pets’ health care is fantastic. We will be offering our standard consultation services including vaccinations, prescription checks and also a prescription pick-up service.”

The practice will host a pop-up session every Tuesday morning with one of the practice’s vets at Just Pet Care pet groomers, at Old Seabird House on West Place. “It’s going to be great teaming up with Just Pet Care, which has been established in the town for around four years. It’s a fantastic location and set-up with a real boutique feel to it.”

Appointments must be pre-booked, and you can expect the very same standards of care and attention to detail that have put Regent Court on the map in Penzance.

“We spend a lot of time with people,” explains Phil. “It’s a much more personal approach, which customers seem to appreciate and relate to.”

A small family practice, the focus is very much on excellent medical care and a personal approach. The team are, of course, all animal lovers themselves, and the practice’s mantra is that they care for every animal as they would their own. And, with accreditation from the Royal College and ‘Cat Friendly Status’ from the Feline Advisory Bureau, you can rest assured that your beloved pet is in safe hands!
